24/02/2009 - MASTERS ENTRIES CLOSED

Australia's only automotive mechanic skills based competition, the Sachs Masters, has received numerous team entries from across the nation ahead of the second running of this major Australian automotive repair skills event.

The plan is to once again unearth our nation's most talented automotive technicians.

With a major cash prize of $15,000 to the Sachs Masters winning team and a host of second and third tier prizes, the Sachs Masters will also form an event of major attraction at Australia's largest automotive aftermarket exhibition, the 2009 Australian Automotive Aftermarket Expo (AAAE) being held at the Sydney Convention Centre from April 2-4.

The competition is designed for dedicated automotive technicians who want to start 2009 off with a high profile skills challenge.

Each three-member team will be issued with a series of challenges throughout the 2009 Australian Automotive Aftermarket Expo using cars parked at the 2009 Sachs Masters stand in front of thousands of exhibition visitors over the three day event.

The 2009 Sachs Masters is organised by the aftermarket division of ZF Australia, one of the world's largest automotive component manufacturers and aftermarket suppliers. The competition receives technical support from the University of Ballarat (TAFE Division), with sponsorship support from aftermarket industry leaders Repco, Motospecs and TechDoc, along with the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Associaton (AAAA).

Entries for the Sachs Masters closed at midnight on February 22.
