This Grant Export Program aims to will support established Victorian exporters with grants of up to $50,000, on a 20:80 co-contribution basis, to assist in stabilising export activity or to help exporters adapt to the new landscape. Eligible activities include; gathering market intelligence, facilitating market access or expansion, and marketing /promotion. This grant is for established exporters with at least $2M in export revenue. Applications must be in by 17 January 2021.
To be eligible a business must:
- Be a legally structured business with significant operations in Victoria
- Have an Australian Business Number (ABN)
- Demonstrate an annual export revenue of at least $2 million in either the 2018/19 or 2019/20 financial years
- Meet all industrial relations obligations as an employer in accordance with the National Employment Standards
The application period for the Victorian Government’s Sole Trader Support Fund has been extended to 30 December 2020 to assist more sole trader businesses, including automotive, operating from a commercial premises in order to assist with the transition to COVID Normal. New Free COVID QR Code Check-In System For Businesses
The Victorian Government has launched a free QR Code Service to help businesses keep an electronic record of visitors to their premises, as per COVIDSafe plan requirements. Business owners will only need to register their business, download and print a poster containing a Victorian Government QR Code, and display it prominently. Visitors simply need to scan the QR code using their smartphone, and their data will be held securely for 28 days unless it is requested by the Department of Health and Human Services. Use of the Victorian Government’s QR Code Service is not mandatory, and businesses or venues that are currently using an existing QR code solution may continue to do so.
