NSW: New Repair Classes Transition Period Extended
The New South Wales Government has extended the transition period for tradespersons to obtain certificates in the two new specialised repair classes: Auto Glazing and Electrical Accessory Fitting.
You can view more information about these changes HERE. The new classes were originally due to take effect this week, however the effect date has been pushed back until 1 March 2022.
This means that employees who undertake Auto Glazing and Electrical Accessory Fitting tasks have extra time to apply for and obtain certificates before they are necessary to continue this work. The Department is now accepting applications for tradespersons to undertake any necessary courses to obtain these certificates. More information, including how to apply, is available HERE.
