AAAA Modern Slavery Act Reporting Program Launch

AAAA has partnered with Informed365 to provide members with assistance and support in complying with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 reporting requirements.

This Act requires entities based, or operating, in Australia, which have an annual consolidated revenue of more than $100 million, to report annually on the risks of modern slavery in their operations and supply chains, as well as the actions being taken to address those risks.

Modern slavery describes situations where offenders use coercion, threats or deception to exploit victims and undermine their freedom. This legislation encourages continuous improvement around transparency and accountability in supply chains to ensure businesses are doing everything they can to eradicate modern slavery.

To assist our members with compliance, AAAA has partnered with Informed365 to bring together a sophisticated technology solution. The AAAA-run consortium will improve members’ ability to track, monitor and comply with the extensive requirements under the legislation. This is a high quality and adaptive program run with start-of-the-art security and a risk assessment matrix that is adapted from the top globally recognised indexes.

This technology solution will be based around an online portal where members will have their own log in for their data and secure access to their confidential supplier information. It will not only streamline the process, but also allow for consistency across the industry. Suppliers will be able to answer a uniform and compliant assessment confidentially and choose who they supply that information to. Reporting companies will get the data in a reportable format, and can track and monitor the evidence requirements and compliance throughout the process.

We are excited to bring this high-value program to our membership.

The foundation members of the AAAA consortium are: mycar, GPC Asia Pacific, Bapcor, GUD, Cooldrive and Pedders Suspension and Brakes.

The cost of participation in the consortium is $8,000 per annum, plus GST.

If you are a supplier to one or more of the consortium members listed above, it is likely you will be contacted by them over the coming weeks inviting you to confidentially respond to the assessment questions on the portal.

If you require further information or are interested in joining the consortium contact Andrew Masanauskas on (03) 9545 3333 or email: amasanauskas@aaaa.com.au
