Exclusive Pre-Event Technical Training Sessions Announced for Autocare 2025
Australia’s premier education-led automotive convention, Autocare 2025, will kick off with two exclusive, in-depth technical training sessions on Thursday 19 June, ahead of the main event.
Available exclusively to Thursday ticketholders, these pre-event sessions will feature internationally renowned trainers Brandon Steckler and Keith Perkins, delivering cutting-edge, workshop-focused training in two of the most in-demand technical areas in the industry.
Brandon Steckler will present ‘It Starts With A Spark’, an 8 hour deep dive into ignition waveform analysis, equipping technicians with the skills to confidently interpret signal data and diagnose complex drivability issues. Keith Perkins will lead a 6 hour ‘ADAS: Calibrations & Troubleshooting’ session, covering the critical processes required to understand, calibrate and troubleshoot today’s advanced driver-assist systems. Places are strictly limited and expected to sell out fast.
“Due to popular demand, these exclusive pre-event sessions have been added to the Autocare training schedule for technicians to go even deeper with their training—learning from two international industry legends before Autocare officially begins—and to sharpen their skills in two of the most advanced and in-demand areas of modern vehicle repair,” said Stuart Charity, CEO of the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association.
These sessions set the stage for what will be the most comprehensive training event in the country for technicians, apprentices and workshop owners, with Autocare taking place 20–21 June at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre. Proudly sponsored by mycar Tyre & Auto and hosted by the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association (AAAA), Autocare will deliver cutting-edge education across two tailored training streams.
The Technical Training Program offers practical, hands-on learning across diagnostics, EV service and repair, ADAS, J2534 programming across popular brands, network failure diagnosis and troubleshooting, oscilloscope essentials, diesel and emission control system diagnostics, and more – delivered by Australia’s top trainers and respected international experts.
Running in parallel, the valuable Workshop Management Program is designed for business owners and managers navigating industry transformation. Hosted by respected industry leaders, sessions will explore the future of the industry, AI integration, staffing and skills shortages, the future of the all-makes repair model, EV impacts, workshop marketing, productivity strategies, how to leverage Australia’s Motor Vehicle Information Scheme (MVIS) to improve diagnostic and repair capabilities and more—delivering real-world insights that can be implemented immediately.
Complementing the training will be the exciting free-to-attend Autocare Trade Show, featuring over 120 of the industry’s leading brands, showcasing the latest tools, equipment and technology. Attendees can engage in live demonstrations, speak directly with suppliers, and take advantage of valuable networking opportunities on the show floor. The trade show is free to anyone in the automotive industry, and does not require a paid training ticket to attend.
Also running alongside Autocare is the National Light Vehicle Modifications Summit, providing a vital platform for industry regulators, engineers, modifiers, and industry stakeholders to tackle challenges and collaborate on current and future regulatory and standards frameworks.
Autocare 2025 is the best place to join thousands of industry professionals for two high-impact days of learning and networking, and to invest in your future career and business success. With demand already high, workshops are encouraged to register early—particularly for premium training sessions that are expected to reach capacity quickly.
