Automotive Technician Salary Benchmark Survey

In the middle of a skills shortage, many are finding it increasingly difficult, if not impossible, to find trained staff to service the growing demand for automotive maintenance, repairs and logbook servicing. AAAA & ACA Research have recently launched the Automotive Technician Salary Benchmark Survey as the next step in addressing our crippling Skills Shortage.

We know that no one solution exists to the skills shortage. That is why on top of our continued advocacy addressing issues in apprenticeship, the training system and the skilled migration process, we are also seeking to boost the perception of our industry as a great place to work.
Despite the fact that many of our members are paying well above award rates, the perception is that automotive jobs don’t pay well enough to attract new talent. In a competitive labour market, these perceptions matter.

Your feedback on staff salaries, good or bad, will assist to build a robust industry benchmark to attract new employees and to give employers additional information on what the competition is paying for talent. Please complete the 15-minute survey, you will be supporting our industry and in return you will get access to a summary of results to assist you and your business.
